This year the doubles competition was dominated by the pairing of Nigel Wulcko and Andy Loakes. Firstly they took on Mo Boys and Tony Brookes in the level competition, prevailing with a 7-2 win. Here’s Nigel, Andy, Mo and Tony still talking to each other after the game.
In possibly the closest contest of the afternoon, Andy & Nigel then took on Katie and Dan Rhodes-Chadder in the handicap doubles competition. Katie and Dan wisely used their extra turns to take the game to 6-6 and the Golden Hoop. Each team had shots to win the game, but it was eventually Nigel and Andy who came out on top.
