The weather was kind for the Open Doubles Competition held at CPCC on Wednesday 20th Sept.
Fourteen teams from many clubs, with widely varying abilities, had a fun day of doubles competition. Four blocks played amongst themselves in the morning with the top four battling it out in the afternoon for top spot.
In the end it came down to the final game with Linda Shaw and Dave Kibble (Bristol) playing “The Davids” from Dowlish Wake. In fact it came down to the golden hoop and a long-debated potential rule infringement before Linda and Dave won the game … and the competition.
